Supply Chain Planner (Import products)

Purpose of the role is to ensure product availability in short and long term on imported products for the company and support export products’ availability for the partner company by adhering to supply planning processes while meeting business expectation. (The role is not a transport scheduler role, it is part of our supply planning team in our Supply Chain function.)

Main tasks

  • Ensure product supply by meeting stock availability targets and maintaining stock standards on dedicated SKUs (imported products)
  • Be primary point of contact for countries related to product supply planning (not transportation, but also be informed about related topics)
  • Create short and long term product supply plans ensuring stock targets are met and continuous supply is kept towards customers
  • Maintain orders for import products on ERP and planning systems
  • Generate inputs to production planning for international export (Create new orders, maintain/change existing orders as needed, aggregate orders of the same brand pack, etc.)
  • Confirm packaging material availability for export products with material planning
  • Find solution to issues raised by parties in the process
  • Provide customer service for international export (Check orders against forecast, confirm orders for customers, maintain customer master data, etc.)
  • Provide loading schedule to logistics (for truck arrangement) and maintain changes with them
  • Seeks ongoing improvements in the process and systems managed by, or feeding into/receiving output from this role. Implement smaller improvements continually, propose larger improvements to manager
  • Achieves the lowest effective supply chain costs where possible
  • Measures/reports export / import related KPI's
  • Creates and updates Service Level Agreement with relevant countries
  • Supports New Product Development process related to imported / exported products

Conditions for getting the job

  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills (in both written and verbal forms)
  • Ability to find consensus between functions
  • BSc or MSc degree
  • Capability to work on short, mid and long term issues
  • Creditability vs. cross functional departments
  • Conflict management, sense of purpose
